There was three big announcements made this week at Stampin’ Up!®. Some you may like and some you may not but here they are:
- Cling Stamps are no longer being manufactured
This will start happening as of the November Online Exclusives.
There will be no Cling Stamps from the 2026/2027 Annual Catalogue.
The major reason for this is that the raw materials can no longer be sourced to continue making them☹️.
Don’t worry; Photopolymer Stamps are not going anywhere! - Stampin’ Write Markers now on the Last Chance Products List
This is now! They have been already been moved to the Last Chance Products list. So, if you love them still and want to grab them I wouldn’t hesitate.
This includes the Stampin’ Write Black Marker but that has been replaced with Black .04 Stampin’ Journaling Pens (166647).
There are two reasons for these being removed:- The colouring technique that went with the Cling Stamps will no longer be able to be done. Photopolymer don’t colour at all.
- The fact is that we love the Stampin’ Blends way more for our colouring.
- New Look Slimline Cases
With the move away from Cling and solely to Photopolymer mean we can now have the slimline cases (they will look like the Dies cases).
This is fabulous news in my books, way way way more storage space!
Want to know more about the reasons why?
Then check out this video it’s explained super well by Brian & Ashley and there’s even a sneak peak of new products coming!
Yes, change is very scary but sometimes necessary to move forward.
I’ve been with Stampin’ Up!® since 2010 and they have been around since 1988 and they have always had the Red Rubber Stamps so it’s going to be a massive change not having them to stamp with but I’m sure, since we’ve been using Photopolymer stamps for a while now, the transition will really be painless.
So while there have been three big announcements made, we will continue to craft and maybe just maybe enjoy a little more space in our craft rooms for even more goodies (hehe).
