While I was looking for inspiration for how to use the Sale-a-Bration Friendly Hello Stamp set and Friendly Hello 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper I came across the great wee design called a Crossover Gate Fold Card.
Having never made a card using this design I could immediately see how the stamps & papers would be shown off in a very simple but elegant way.
The card base is Thick Basic White which is 1/2 A4 (21cm x 14.9cm) which; I have scored at 5.1cm and 15.8cm to create the folded part.
If you are using imperial measurements then the Thick Basic White cardstock will be a 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece which; will be scored at 2-1/8″ and 6-3/8″.
I have stamped the words and images in Memento. Using the Dark Pool Party, Light & Dark Petal Pink and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend pens to colour the Bird and flower on the inside of the card and on the front of the envelope. Of course, I had to use the Wink of Stella to give the images sparkle.
On the bottom panel I used a piece of the Petal Pink Designer Series Paper.
A Basic White panel has “Hello Friend” stamped in Pool Party. Then adhere to the card using Dimensionals towards the bottom right.
I finished the card with Pool Party Shear Ribbon bow attached with a glue dot. Finish with three Artistry Bloom Adhesive-Backed sequins.
The two panels are layered onto Pool Party Cardstock with the top panel being attached to the lefthand side of the card. While the bottom panel is attached to the righthand side of the card. This is what creates the crossover gate fold.
This Crossover Gate Fold Card is so simple and effective that I will be using it again.
